The North of Spain is a famously attractive surf getting, with its unique sheer rock walls, picturesque bays and green mountain scenery. Cities like San Sebastian, Bilbao and Santander offer numerous cultural highlights and you get a particular exposure to spanish flair in the many restaurants and tapas bars around. The small bays with lots of reef- and beachbreaks along the coast will satisfy any surfer, no matter how new or advanced.
The South of Spain is appreciated for its pleasant air and water temperature – even in winter. Besides miles and miles of beaches, Andalusia has plenty on offer, notably Tarifa, Cadiz, Jerez Sevilla and its fascinating landscape. Learners need not to fear - there are lots of surf camps and surf schools both in the North and in the South of Spain.
